New series of Korean dramas and animations are expected to be aired on GHOne TV for Ghanaian viewers.
South Korea Ambassador to Ghana, KIM Sungsoo, and Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi, CEO of Excellence in Broadcasting Network, have signed two License Agreements granting the airing license to GHOne TV for Korean dramas and animations respectively.
The signings of the agreements took place on 30 April 2020 at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Accra.
By signing these agreements, GHOne TV is scheduled to air from mid-May two Korean dramas titled “Still 17” and “Should We Kiss First”, and also three child-friendly Korean animations titled “Pororo”, “Tayo the Little Bus” and “Zombie Dumb”, a release from the South Korean Embassy says.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ghana, serving as a bridge between the two countries to boost mutual understanding, has cooperated in airing Korean drama (K-drama) with Ghanaian TV stations for many years not only to provide Ghanaian viewers with opportunity to encounter Korea, but also to look forward to an even more enriching relationship with them.
For this year, the Korean Embassy has collaborated with KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency), a governmental agency that oversees and coordinates the promotion of the Korean content industry, and with KIBF (Korea International Broadcasting Foundation), a non-profit group dedicated to bringing information about Korea, in introducing new contents of Korean Drama and Animation respectively to Ghana.
