Kotoko, EPL Side Strike Deal

Nana Yaw Amponsah

Asante Kotoko are set to strike a deal with a yet-to-be named English Premier League (EPL) side.

During a press conference held yesterday, the Asante Kotoko’s Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, introduced his management team at the Kumasi Sports Hotel.

He pointed out that negotiations have reached roof level and the deal could be announced in a couple of weeks.

The CEO mentioned that unlike the previous deal with Sunderland, the forthcoming deal will be slightly different, and it is aimed at seeking the club’s interest.

The club’s Twitter page rendered it thus, “We are 90 per cent through signing a partnership deal with an English Premiership side. We want to plug our club in them so we can have the replica, if not the same, of everything they have here.”

He commended the eight-member management team highly for accepting to work with him.

The management team includes Emmanuel Dasoberi (administrative and operations manager), Eric Twum (commercial manager), Thomas Sevordzi (financial manager), with Dentaa Amoateng, Akua Pokuaa Kwarteng, Nilo Effori and David Obeng Nyarko serving in other portfolios.
