Officials of Asante Kotoko last Sunday joined Kwadwo Asante, chief protocol officer for the National Circles Council of the club, for the one-week observation of his departed wife, Esther Akua Asante, in Accra.
High ranking members of the Porcupine Warriors, including Kwame Kyei (Executive Chairman), George Amoako (CEO), businessman Alhaji Abu Lamini (board member), Christopher Demenya (National Circles Council chairman), Coach Maxwell Konadu, Edmund Ackah, Nana Kwame Danquah, among others, mourned with the bereaved colleague.
Also present to mourn with the ace broadcast journalist were hundreds of sports enthusiasts, journalists and fans of both Kotoko and Hearts.
The family of the deceased who passed on barely a fortnight ago has consequently fixed August 29 and 30 for the final funeral rites in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, the family of the late Madam Esther has expressed gross appreciation to all who sympathised with them during the one week observation.
