The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adentan Constituency in Accra, Akosua Manu aka Kozie has donated building materials to the management of the Ashaley Botwe Central Mosque.

The gesture is to enable the management of the mosque to complete the project.

The donation, made up of 100 bags of cement and three tonnes of iron rods, was made last Wednesday.

The gesture marked the completion of the month-long period of fasting by Muslims.

The Adentan Constituency has a large population of Muslims, a segment which the parliamentary candidate has made appreciable inroads.

The donation is one of many she had made in the constituency, other gestures being the provision of comprehensive health screening.

Joining her at the venue of the donation were Islamic clerics, community leaders and the leadership of the Nassara grouping of the NPP from across the constituency.

Her gesture earned her prayers from the beneficiaries.

“May Allah continue to bless Akosua Manu for the good heart she has displayed towards all the people of Adentan,” were some of the charitable remarks said for her after the gesture.

The parliamentary candidate since her election has been busy on the ground campaigning vigorously.
