‘Kumawu Road Projects Not For Votes’

Ernest Yaw Anim

ERNEST YAW Anim, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Kumawu by-election, has vehemently debunked reports that the ongoing road projects in the area is being used by government to attract votes for him.

According to him, other reports that the road projects would stop after the by-elections, which is slated for May 23, 2023, are falsehood being spread by detractors of the NPP to dent the image of the party.

Setting the records straight, Yaw Anim disclosed that the ongoing road projects have become possible because of the vision and hard work of Philip Basoah, the late NPP MP for Kumawu Constituency.

“The ongoing road projects in Kumawu has nothing to do with the upcoming by-elections. The late Philip Basoah worked hard to secure the road project for Kumawu before death, unfortunately, laid its icy hands on him recently.

“Philip Basoah publicly made announcement about government’s plan to construct the Kumawu roads on countless occasions, including even this February 2023,” Yaw Anim disclosed on Hello FM in Kumasi on Tuesday.

Speaking in an interview with King Edward, the Kumawu NPP parliamentary candidate stated categorically that the road projects in Kumawu and the nearby communities would continue unabated even after the by-election.

Yaw Anim said the ruling NPP government has concrete plans, desire and resources to develop Kumawu, so the people should vote for him during the by-election to help expedite Kumawu’s transformational process.

He, therefore, appealed to Kumawu natives living in Accra, Kumasi and other areas to come home (Kumawu) and vote massively for him during the by-election to ensure the proper growth of the area.

Yaw Anim also said the NPP in Kumawu Constituency is united and poised to win the by-election on May 23, 2023, reiterating his passionate appeal to the electorate to cast their ballot for him on the election day.
