Kwaku Manu Blasts Lilwin Over Hate Claims

Lilwin and Kwaku Manu

Actor Kwaku Manu has called out fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah aka Lilwin for unfairly tagging him and some others in Kumawood.

Lilwin was last week caught on tape saying actors who didn’t make it on set for his upcoming movie, Cocoa Season, hate the fact that the production belong to him.

But Kwaku Manu described the statement as unfortunate when they clashed on UTV’s United Showbiz programme on Saturday night.

He said he wasn’t happy with his comment because he is one of the people who didn’t show up for the shoot.

He is also offended because Lilwin also didn’t show up for his production a couple of times, but he never interpreted his absence to mean hate or envy.

“I called Kwadwo twice but he didn’t show up. When I was shooting my first series titled Ajigom, I met with him at Bishop’s funeral and he told me to call him when I am done with the script. However, he has since then stopped picking my calls,” he told host Nana Ama McBrown.

“When I requested to interview him on my show too, he asked me to go and seek for sponsorship for him to appear on my show. But today you are shooting a movie and because I couldn’t show up you are on social media complaining.

“It is a series, if I couldn’t make it into the first season, I can always appear in subsequent ones,” he added.

Lilwin in his reaction suggested he was not comfortable with the idea that Kweku Manu was going to direct him. But Kweku objected that he never complained about him directing when they first spoke, and besides he never picked his calls again.
