Patrons Of The Maternity Ward Of The Kwesimintsim Hospital Near Takoradi In The Western Region Will Now Feel More At Home After A Total Transformation At The Ward, Following Its Adoption By The Elizabeth Benedicta Ackah Foundation (Ebaf).
Ebaf Is A Non-Profit Organisation With The Main Objective Of Mobilising Resources To Actualise The Ideals And Aspirations Of Lady Bishop Elizabeth Benedicta Ackah, The Founder And The General Overseer Of Sheepgate Triumphant Chapel International In The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
The Foundation Aims At Providing Support For Community Health And Providing Financial Support For Single Mothers And Brilliant But Needy Students.
The Foundation Has Presented Items Estimated At Over Gh¢25,000 To The Maternity Ward Of The Kwesimintsim Hospital.
The Items Included Curtains, Refrigerator, Bed Sheets And Pillows With Their Cases, Table Clothes, Toiletries, Towels, Gloves And Wall Clock, Among Others.
A Visit To The Maternity Ward After The Presentation Revealed That Joy And Comfort Were Literally Written On The Faces Of Some Mothers Who Had Just Delivered And They Were Also Full Of Praise For Ebaf.
They Were Of The Opinion That With The Adoption, Kwesimintsim Hospital, The Second Health Facility In The Western Region After Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Can Now Be Counted As One Of The Government Health Facilities In The Country With Most Improved Maternity Ward.
Dr Ernest Anderson, The Medical Superintendent Of The Hospital Who Received The Items On Behalf Of The Facility, Expressed The Hospital’s Profound Appreciation To Ebaf.
He Added That The Adoption Of The Ward By The Foundation Would Go A Long Way To Enhance Activities At The Ward.
