The last Hajj flight from Tamale scheduled for last Saturday will now depart Accra International Airport today according to the Pilgrims Affairs Office Of Ghana (PAOG).
“This decision has been necessitated by a reduction in the number of pilgrims scheduled to have boarded the final Tamale flight, which fell below the minimum requirement set by the airline’s operational regulations. Consequently, the affected pilgrims will be airlifted as part of the Accra-bound flights on Monday (today).
“All pilgrims and their respective agents affected by this change have been duly informed. The Office assures the public that this adjustment is in line with operational guidelines and is intended to ensure efficiency in the airlifting process,” the PAOG said.
As the airlift shifts to Accra for southern-based pilgrims the PAOG has called on all stakeholders to emulate the discipline demonstrated during the Tamale operations. Pilgrims are especially advised to adhere to the reporting times and to comply with luggage regulations and to avoid carrying prohibited items to ensure seamless departure processes.
