‘Let’s Finish Hard, No Complacency’

THE MINISTER for Planning, Prof. George Gyan Baffour, has advised all NPP campaign teams to step up the door to door campaign until NPP wins power in the December 7, 2020 election.

“There is no room for complacency though President Akufo-Addo under NPP has achieved a lot. Let’s close our ranks, don’t let us be complacent with our achievements but go on from home to home, village to village and community to community to educate the grassroots on what the government has done to warrant re-election,” he urged.

Prof. Baffour said this to various NPP groups in the Wenchi Constituency in the Bono Region when he received campaign materials and logistics donated by a philanthropist, Akosua Taylor, and family.

The campaign materials were then distributed among NPP groups such as the Loyal Ladies and their male counterpart, Alpha Patrons, Nana Mma and Zongo Ladies.

The items included a brand new Fiat pickup, Sanya motorbike, NPP branded campaign T-shirts, bags of rice, gallons of oil, branded NPP drinking cups, hand sanitizers, liquid soups, nose masks and bales of used clothing among others.

Ms. Taylor said she was impressed with development projects done by the MP in the constituency, saying “in addition to the items, we have also set up what we termed ‘Hot kitchen’ at Wenchi and expect all campaign team members and sympathizers to walk in and have a hot meal a day before embarking on campaign tours. This shall continue until the election.”

She said “within just four years our people have witnessed massive school infrastructure, CHPS compounds, provision of water, electricity and roads to villages, so we are happy to associate ourselves with the party and make sure President Akufo-Addo and Prof. Baffour are re-elected.”

She said the Free SHS, 1D1F, One District One Warehouse and the PFJ would lift people out of abject poverty.

The MCE for Wenchi, Prince Afriyie Kwakye, on his part said the NDC could not do what the NPP had done and must not be entertained at the polls.
