Axim Beach Resort
Axim Beach Hotel and Resort is an eco-friendly beach resort in Axim, about 90 minutes from the Takoradi Airport.
They arrange pick-ups for GH¢500 one way, GH¢1,000 both ways from the airport and GH¢1,000 one way, GH¢2,000 both ways from Accra.
The resort is on a hill and has absolutely beautiful views of the bay. Their beach is absolutely beautiful – clear blue water, clean sand, perfect breeze.
Axim Beach Resort has eight room categories: Honeymoon Chalet – GH¢500, Executive Chalet – GH¢450, Deluxe Chalet – GH¢400, Regular Chalet – GH¢350, Family Bungalow – GH¢500, Turtle Beach Villa – GH¢680, Family Villa – GH¢900, Budget Double – GH¢300, Budget Single – GH¢130. Prices are per night and come with breakfast.
There are two restaurants but no fixed menu (yet), so the wait staff will just tell you what’s available. Breakfast, which is free with the room and GH¢60 for non-guests, is served buffet style at only one of the restaurants.
Like the rest of the meals, you can have it brought to your room at a GH¢15 charge. It’s very basic though, the options aren’t too many. For other meals you’ll need to order from the second restaurant, which is close to the poolside and beach.
The restaurant closes at 10:00pm for both residents and non-residents, so order early. Estimate a 45-60 minute wait-time for your food. It’s a beautiful place and even though service was a little slow I completely loved my stay and will most likely return.
