Lisa Awuku Of ‘House Of Gold’ Fame All Grown Now

Lisa Awuku, the smart child actress who played the role of June in the 2013 hit movie, ‘House Of Gold’, is all grown now.

She has developed into a beautiful young woman in no time.

She turned 21 on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, and she celebrated the day, sharing some beautiful and amazing photos of hers.

“Happy birthday to moi (me) …wishing me greater heights,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Some young actors become famous early in life, some decide to stick with show business and go on to even bigger success. Others also quit to pursue different interests.

Lisa prefers the former because acting is her greatest passion.

The former student of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School is currently in her final year at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), studying Accounting &   Finance and is also pursuing her acting career.

She started acting at a very tender age on stage in her primary school days before she joined the movie industry in 2010. She first acted in ‘Enemy Within’ by Venus Films, but her second movie: ‘Loosing You’ was the first to be released.

She subsequently appeared on other major productions including  the acclaimed 2015 war drama;  ‘Beasts of No Nation’ as well as the 2013 & 2016 films; ‘House of Gold’ and ‘Ghana Must Go’, produced by Yvonne Nelson & Yvonne Okoro respectively.

The rest of her credits include; ‘3Some’, ‘The Pledge’, ‘Nkuli’, ‘Alvina and Wannabe’. She has some yet to be released movies as well.

She had several nominations at the Ghana Movie Awards with her roles in some of these movies.

In 2013, she was nominated for ZAFAA Awards Best Child Performance for her supporting role in ‘House Of Gold’.
