Luckie Lawson
Actress Luckie Lawson will be showing love to a number of underprivileged single mothers as part of this year’s Mothers’ Day celebrations on May 12.
The mother-of-two will host a huge dinner for some single mothers and their children at her Mangoes Restaurant in Accra.
This is part of the actress’s effort to put smiles on the faces of women and appreciate their efforts as mothers.
The event is being organised by Luckie Lawson and her friends, in collaboration with eTV Ghana and Kora Spa.
Dubbed ‘Luckie Single Mothers’ Day Treat’, the ceremony will come off with several other side attractions, including a number of celebrities who will also grace the occasion.
“The idea is to provide a platform for single mothers who are struggling to take care of their children by putting them through school and all that to celebrate Mothers’ Day in a unique way. They deserve a treat but they can’t afford it. We want to make Mothers’ Day special for them to say thank you to all the mothers to make them feel special. They will get manicure and pedicure treatments; we are also going to get them some stuff to wear and a special dinner. It’s a whole treat,” Luckie told NEWS-ONE on Friday.
Over 10 mothers are expected to be part of the ceremony. Organisers are currently asking members of the general public to assist in choosing the right single mothers for the ceremony. All they have to do is send a voice note about a hardworking single mother in their neighbourhood to 0555657278 and Luckie’s team will take it from there.
