The political temperature in the Bolgatanga East Constituency is increasingly rising to a boiling point, with Mahama Ayariga, the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, launching a scathing attack on Mathew Silas Amoah, the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Parliamentary candidate for the area.
Despite the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Amoah’s visible contributions to the constituency’s development, Mahama Ayariga resorted to using unprintable words to describe him in every engagement he got the opportunity.
This move has been seen as a desperate attempt to salvage the alleged dwindling fortunes of Dr Dominic Akuriting Ayine, who is facing an uphill battle in the constituency.
However, it has been argued that Ayariga’s involvement will only serve to highlight Amoah’s strengths and further solidify his position as the right candidate for the job.
The NPP Candidate’s achievements in the last few years have far surpassed those of Ayariga throughout his political career.
As a businessman, the Bolgatanga NPP Candidate, Amoah has initiated various projects in the country and has a proven track record of supporting his community.
The debate has sparked calls for a smear-free campaign, with a focus on uplifting the community rather than spreading propaganda.
Scores of the Party members in Bolgatanga who have raised concerns over the incident have noted that the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Amoah’s commitment to addressing the developmental needs of his community has earned him the loyalty of the people, and he remains the clear choice for the Bolgatanga East Constituency.
However, the people in the Bolgatanga East Constituency are being urged to continue supporting the Parliamentary Candidate of NPP, Mathew Silas Amoah and the Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, as their future is safe with these dedicated leaders.
