Mahama Lashed Over Job Promises

Former President John Mahama

FORMER President John Dramani Mahama was parodied during the weekend for posting on his social media platforms that he is “ready to work hard to provide jobs for the youth and reduce the high cost of living in the country.”

Twitter users particularly were quick to jeer at him and questioned what his leadership did to solve unemployment, with assertions that he put a freeze on employment for four years during his tenure.

Some users just made jokes about how Mr Mahama handled the unemployment situation with reference to his cancellation of allowances for trainee nurses and teachers, which has been restored by the present administration.

“Aaa JM and who said you are not ready? You were ready both in 2008 and 2012 yet you messed up. We can’t trust you again Masa (sic),” one MagzyGH said in a reply to the former President.

Michael Agana responded: “You had a chance, you didn’t take it (sic),” whilst one Baffy Da Kobby Popp stated: “After wasting our 9 years u now ready! We too we are not ready (sic)”.

“Who cancelled nurse/teacher trainee allowances? Who took us to the IMF and froze public employment; gave us dumsor…(sic)” one Yaw Abban questioned the flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as he stages a comeback.

Users of Facebook were also not charitable to the former President with many laughing off over his post, while some became indignant.
