President John Mahama will begin a five-day campaign tour of the Eastern region starting from today, 25 October, 2016.
The President, who completed his campaign tour of the Volta Region recently, is expected to start his tour from Abetifi where he will meet fisher folks and farmers at Sempoa and also address a mini rally at Mpraeso Lorry Park at Nkawkaw.
He will also inaugurate the Kwahu Fodoa Community Day Senior High School.
A statement issued by the Eastern Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said President Mahama would end his first day with a durbar in the Abuakwa North constituency, where Victor Smith is contesting for the seat.
On Tuesday, the President will address a mini rally at Ofoase-Ayirebi and inaugurate a Community-Day Senior High School at Akwatia. Â There will also be a mini rally at Suhum.
On the third day, President Mahama will head for Abuakwa South, the home constituency of his main opponent Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The president will also call on the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin after which he would address a mini rally at the Kyebi Lorry Park.
He will also tour Adoagyiri-Nsawam, Akuapim North and South and the Okere constituency.
On the last day, President Mahama will travel to Koforidua and later end his tour of the region at Lower Manya Krobo on Friday, October 28.
