Mahama Wants To Come Back To loot -NDC Man

John Mahama

Former Ghana Consul General to Dubai, Ambassador Daniel Osei, has renewed his fight with former President John Mahama, saying he wants to rule Ghana again to ‘loot and nothing else.’

Mr. Osei, who was an appointee of Mr Mahama, insisted that the ex-president was only interested in the ‘money aspect’ during his tenure and does not see any change for him to come back to rule again.

In his latest article chastising his former boss for the current insecurity in Ghana, including the recent Ayawso West Wuogon by-election shootings, the ex-envoy said, “He (Mahama) loved the money aspect and made lots of it, but it should worry all of us as we continue to watch him use his new found wealth to destroy the very party that gave him a chance.”

He said that Mr. Mahama “lacks both vision and zeal” to be a good president, saying emphatically that “we need visionary leadership anchored in a ‘by any means necessary’ spirit to win power.”

For him, Mr. Mahama “ascended the presidency by default and did not fathom the awesome responsibility of leading the party and governing the country.”

Insecurity

Mr. Osei further said that the current insecurity in Ghana should be traced to Mr. Mahama’s incompetent handling of affairs of the country.

“It’s hard to blame Mahama for the thugs slapping Sam George or even Nana B’s deplorable attack on Sammy Gyamfi. These are very sad events. However, the genesis of the insecurity we see in the nation today can be traced back to the complacency and lackadaisical attitude and approach with which the former president treated very important issues of governance and national security.”

He disclosed that Mr. Mahama who recently stated that the NDC is the most violent party in Ghana, failed to take punitive actions against some individuals and political groupings whose activities were deemed dangerous to the peace and security of Ghana.

“What punitive measures were taken against the NPP for bringing in the South African mercenaries to train these thugs?” he queried.

“What happened to the mercenaries when we arrested them? Mahama simply freed them,” he said.

He recounted that “some of us were victims of Delta Force as early as 2014 and their attack was all captured on tape and shared with the former president and some cabinet ministers. If I tell you his response, you will shake your head in disbelief.”

He added that “during the registration in 2016, we faced many of such nonsense in the Ashanti Region. Indeed, some of our boys were slashed with cutlasses and were stitched up at Komfo Anokye Hospital by Dr. Yaw Opuni, Dr. Steve Opuni’s brother.”
