Ayyoub Bouaddi
Manchester City have reached an agreement in principle worth €100m (£85.6m) to sign 18-year-old Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.
The two clubs had been in advanced negotiations over the Morocco international, and a deal is now in place for the teenager to move to the Premier League.
Lille are set to receive an initial £81.4m, with a further £4.2m available in add-ons as Bouaddi prepares to complete his move to England.
City have made central midfield a priority following the departures of Rodri to Barcelona for £65m and Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah for £52m.
The Premier League champions have also strengthened their midfield with the £116m signing of England international Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
Manchester City remain interested in Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, although it is unclear whether they will be able to reach an agreement for the Argentine.
Bouaddi’s arrival would represent another major investment in City’s midfield as Pep Guardiola’s side prepare for the new Premier League season.
