Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is closing on another signing, with Schalke’s Leroy Sane on his way to the club for a medical.
Schalke have confirmed that Sane has not travelled to their training camp, with the winger set to complete a five-year move for around €50 million.

Meanwhile, are we at last approaching the end of the protracted saga that is the on-off possibility of striker Romelu Lukaku returning to Chelsea?
The Mirror reckons so, reporting that the Merseysiders have insisted Lukaku will be starting the new season at Goodison Park unless their £75m valuation is met.
That would shatter the British transfer record, set by Manchester United when they signed Angel Di Maria for £59.7m from Real Madrid. But that record, of course, might not even exist by then if Manchester United can sign Paul Pogba first…
