Man Stabbed To Death In K’dua

The Eastern Regional Police Command is holding one Gideon Frimpong, 25, a resident of Koforidua–Oyoko in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region for allegedly stabbing his friend, Kofi Appiah, 37, to death.

The unemployed man was rushed to the Central Government Hospital in Koforidua for treatment after suffering multiple wounds.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the health facility.

DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Eastern Regional Police Command, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, said the deceased, Samuel Kofi Appiah, 37, a resident of Oyoko, engaged the suspect in a scuffle after he had gone on an errand for him.

DSP Tetteh explained that the suspect was subsequently arrested by the Police Patrol team that stormed the area upon a tip-off.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue pending autopsy.
