Mark Woyongo Is Dead

Former Minister of the and Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central, Mark Owen Woyongo, has passed away.
The sad news was announced by his family in a press statement today.

According to report, Mark Owen Woyongo died on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Bank of Ghana Hospital.

Survived by his wife, Cecilia Wuni Woyongo, Mr Woyongo retired from politics after losing the 2016 election.
He had previously served as the Interior Minister and had represented Navrongo in Parliament. Additionally, he was also the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Tamale-based Diamond FM.

This sad event comes shortly after Mark Woyongo laid his son, Kenneth Kwotua, to rest at the age of 49.

The passing of Mark Owen Woyongo has left a void in the political landscape of the country. He will be remembered for his contributions to the nation and his dedicated service to the people of Navrongo.
The family has requested privacy and further information regarding funeral arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
