Meet Moor Sound Of Guide Radio 91.5

Moor Sound

Isaac Bempong, aka Moor Sound, is a DJ and music producer based in Accra, and his musical journey is nothing short of inspiring.

From a young age, Moor Sound displayed musical prowess, mastering the piano and performing at small gatherings during primary school. He further honed his skills by joining his school’s band in Junior High School, where he played the recorder and drums.

Moor Sound’s true passion for music found its voice in Senior High School when he began Djing using Virtual DJ software.

His knack for getting the party started earned him the role of entertainment prefect. However, it was at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) that his star truly began to rise under the moniker DJ Kestro.

His exceptional talent and musical instincts made him a sensation on campus, with gigs at clubs and events in Kumasi and even opening for renowned artists like Lil Kesh, Sean Tizzle, and Orezi.

Inspired by DJ-producers like Diplo and Calvin Harris, Moor Sound embarked on a journey into music production, guided by his high school friend, Kuvie.

In just two years at RGG Studios, he achieved remarkable success, releasing two joint albums and three EPs.

His collaboration album with Kiddblack, “Here For A Good Time Not A Long Time,” soared to the top of Ghana’s Apple Music chart.

Moor Sound’s production talents have graced tracks by notable artists such as Magnom, Okese1, La Meme Gang, and Yaa Pono, to name a few. His consistency and creativity earned him a well-deserved spot on Kuulpeeps.com’s “Emergers 2020” list, celebrating outstanding young artists.

In 2021, Moor Sound expanded his horizons by becoming an on-air personality at Guide Radio 91.5 FM, a prominent urban radio station in Accra.

Hosting the drive-time show, he not only spins the latest hits but also engages in informative music discussions that captivate Accra’s listeners.
