Hallab Gourmet 1881 at the Melcom Mall, Spintex Road
Melcom Ghana has launched its first franchise to promote international tourists known as Hallab Gourmets 1881.
Hallab Gourmets 1881, originating from the ancestral Lebanese city of Tripoli with its 140-year heritage is the world’s leading hand-crafted high-quality sweets.
The Melcom Group Executive Director Sonya Sadhwani expressed her excitement in outdooring Lebanese favorite gourmet restaurant Hallab Gourmet 1881 at its new Sprintex road branch, which has varieties of a range of sugar-free sweets and a specialized division for occidental sweets alongside a rich and wide-ranging selection of cakes and chocolates.
“Hallab 1881 has earned an international standing for high-quality delights and Melcom, as Ghana’s number one trusted retail brand is committed to serving you with the finest of varieties of dishes to your satisfaction as we always do,” she said.
On his part, the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir said the newly outdoored Hallab 1881 which is the first of its kind on the African continent had strengthened the ties between Lebanon, India, and Ghana as it seeks to promote culture and food tourism.
“The Hallab 1881 establishment will not only provide Ghanaians with a taste of Lebanon’s foods but also boost its economic growth and youth employment. This is also a symbol of growth between the two countries,” he said.
The Hallab 1881 establishment will strive to exceed customer expectations to maintain customer loyalty, according to Group Director of Communication Godwin Avenorgbo.
“We have put in place a well-structured food safety and quality management system that complies with FDA regulations but meets international standards to serve our customers with a consistent supply of premium quality products that meet their lifestyles,” he said.
Present at the official opening of the Hallab 1881 included The High Commissioner of India to Ghana, Shri C. Sugandh Rajaramthe and a representative of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture Mark Okraku Mantey among other dignitaries.
