THE New Juaben South Constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region has launched its 2020 Campaign and Manifesto.

The Regional Chairman of the NPP, Kingston Okomeng Kissi who launched the New Juaben South version of the 2020 Manifesto said similar manifestoes have been developed in all 33 Constituencies in the region urging supporters of the party to use it to embark on door to door campaign hinting that the party will not organize mammoth campaign this year.

According to him, in the party’s bid to win more votes they have decided to embark on a house to house campaign.

He said, the NPP party has a lot of achievements within its almost four years in office to campaign on.

The parliamentary candidate, Michael Okyere Baafi who is the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Free Zones Authority said there is absolute unity among the party after the primaries urging all supporters to join the campaign.

According to him, he is targeting to poll at least 70,000 of total valid votes cast in both Presidential and Parliamentary elections on December 7, 2020.

“We are promising you (Regional Chairman) that we are going to run an unprecedented campaign in the history of Koforidua politics. We will enter every ghetto, we will enter every base, we will enter every Church, we will enter every school, every hotel, we will meet every voter, and we will bring all the votes to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

We are changing the politics of Koforidua; we are turning the politics around. We are going to make the campaign house to house, ” Michael Okyere Baafi said.

He revealed that their proposal to the Ministry of Health for the construction of a modern hundred-bed community hospital in the Koforidua Zongo has been approved adding that on November 2, 2020, the sod will be cut for construction to commence.

He encouraged the people to unite and put aside the parliamentary primaries so they can be able to fight for a common goal.

The National Organiser, Sammy Awuku on his side said the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer John Dramani Mahama have no superior policy and are therefore rather engaging in populist campaign citing the legalization of Okada as an example.

He stated that the upcoming general elections slated for December are meant for the future of the next generation.

He, therefore, encouraged Ghanaians not to adhere to the persistent lies from opposition NDC.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo led NPP government have lived up to expectations after assuming office having implemented flagship programs like the free SHS, NABCO and others.

He said, elections have results and that if Ghanaians vote for the right candidate it changes the lives of people.

“Though we have been able to perform after assuming office we should not be complacent thinking that the NPP has already won the elections. We all need to work hard and make sure that we win this year’s elections” he said.

He has therefore called on the campaign team to embark on the door to door campaign and expressed optimism of winning the 70, 000 votes for both the parliamentary candidate and the president.
