Ghanaian Musician, Stevo Atambire, has expressed his gratitude and excitement after his song ‘Minus Me’ was featured in the National Football League’s (NFL) latest commercial, ‘Born To Play’.
The song which featured legendary highlife artiste Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, and produced by Wanlov Kubolor, was incorporated into NFL’s two-and-a-half-minute commercial video.
The video showcased a group of current NFL superstars navigating through the bustling streets of Accra, celebrating the sport’s global expansion and the opening of pathways to play at the highest level.
“Having my song ‘Minute Me’ featured in the NFL was a dream come true. Music can connect us beyond borders and boundaries. I am truly honoured to see my music reaching new listeners through the NFL’s platform,” he told NEWSONE.
‘Minus Me’ is a captivating song known for its uplifting melody and empowering lyrics that touch on themes of resilience, determination, and overcoming adversity.
Hailing from Namoo in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Stevo’s musical style is influenced by nomadic cultures. He has released several successful albums and singles that have gained popularity in Ghana and Europe, collaborating with top producers and artists including Wanlov Kubolor.
Stevo is also the lead singer of the Ghanaian-Romanian band, Alostmen, consisting of three other talented musicians including Wanlov Kubolor, Abednego Sowah, and Aminu Amadu.
