Miss Ghana Foundation Holds Kids Bazaar In Aid Of Scoliosis

Bright Ofori and Rebecca Kwabi engaging with some children at the event

Miss Ghana Foundation, the charity arm of the Miss Ghana brand, Saturday organised a fundraising event to raise GH¢100, 00 to support a surgery for a year and four-month-old baby boy, Ryan Ayinsugya Abagbire, who is suffering from scoliosis.

Miss Ghana 2019 Rebecca Kwabi and Mr. Ghana 2019 Bright Ofori engaged children in a day’s fun-filled event at the Junction Mall at a programme dubbed ‘Kids Bazaar’.

Among activities that took place as part of the ceremony included football, bouncy castles, dancing competition, face painting, kids’ trains rides, among other exciting children-friendly games. There were also scintillating performances from Veritas International School, Queen Jane’s International School and Prevas School.

The Project Coordinator at Miss Ghana Foundation, Isaac Quainoo, expressed their happiness with how the event put smiles on the faces of the children who attended.

He pleaded with corporate bodies and individuals to help fund cost of surgeries for kids, as there are about thousands of them waiting to be operated upon.

Scoliosis is a life-threatening medical condition which affects one’s spine curves. The curve is usually a ‘C’ or an ‘S’ shaped. Severe scoliosis can affect breathing.

Kids Bazaar was sponsored by PlayRight, Bel Aqua, Bel Beverages and Frosty Bites, with support from the Junction Mall.
