Leopold Kwao
Leopold Kwao, popularly known as The Safety Model, turned heads at the Safety Gathering 3.0, the finale of the Safety Campaign Ghana Mentorship Cohort, held on September 26, 2026, at the Goldfields Tarkwa Clubhouse.
Clad in a fashionable outfit fused with mining-prescribed reflectors, Leopold redefined safety advocacy with style.
He explained that blending his personality as The Safety Model with an outfit incorporated with mining reflectors goes beyond fashion, describing it as a deliberate act of promoting safety.
“The blend is intended to send a powerful message that transcends the workplace. Wherever the reflectors are seen, even outside industrial environments, they serve as a candid reminder to remain cautious, stay visible, and prioritise safety while looking stunning,” he said.
Leopold credited designers Nana Kay & The Boy Fashion for bringing the outfit to life, using his ideas as a creative.
Safety Gathering 3.0 is a premium evening dedicated to celebrating safety leadership, excellence in mentorship, and the next generation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professionals.
The event brought together senior industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, HSE professionals, academics, traditional leaders, and students for an evening of dinner, networking, recognition, and conversations around a shared commitment to protecting lives and building safer workplaces.
