The poor state of the road
Some motorists who use the Kojokrom-Takoradi main road are lamenting about the poor state of the road.
Sections of the road between the fitting and Obokrom junctions, have been left to deteriorate hence developing into big potholes.
A heavy downpour in the area over the weekend exposed the bad state of the road making it difficult for road users to commute on it.
Some drivers made it known that the nature of the road makes their cars develop countless faults which gives them no option than to use their sales to cover the expenses.
According to them, because of the big potholes on some parts of the road, there is always traffic from Ahinkofi to Kojokrom, particularly, during the rush hour.
A visit to the area by DAILY GUIDE on Sunday revealed drivers had to take their time driving when they approach the potholes, sometimes, spending almost an hour on that stretch.
Some of the drivers asserted that the contractor who was supposed to work on the road deposited some sand and gravel on the side but the materials have eroded over time contributing to the dilapidated nature of the road now.
They, therefore, called on the city authorities to see to the construction of the road as a matter of urgency.
