Mr Eazi, King Promise Drop Joint Project

King Promise and Mr Eazi

African music giants, Mr Eazi and King Promise, have unveiled a collaborative project titled, ‘See What We’ve Done (SWWD)’, a nine-track body of work that blends elements of an album and an EP while highlighting their artistic chemistry.

The project brings together two established voices in Afrobeats and Afro-fusion, focusing on themes of friendship, growth and gratitude. According to Mr Eazi, the release is “a celebration of friendship, growth, and gratitude,” reflecting a partnership built over years of collaboration and mutual respect rather than commercial strategy.

Opening with the track, ‘Where Have You Been?’, the project moves into one of its standout moments, ‘That Way’. The song reinterprets the Backstreet Boys’ classic, ‘I Want It That Way,’ blending its nostalgic appeal with contemporary African sounds.

Other tracks such as ‘Mariana’ revisit the duo’s earlier musical synergy, using soft percussion and ambient production to create an intimate, melodic feel. The project continues with songs including, ‘Baby I’m Still Jealous’, ‘Taste’, ‘Criminal’, ‘No.1 Fan’, and ‘Mad Ting’, before closing with the title track ‘See What We’ve Done’, described as a reflection on legacy and achievement.

Production on the project features contributions from notable producers including GuiltyBeatz, Killbeatz, and JAE5, among others, resulting in a polished sound that combines Afrobeats, pop and melodic influences.

The release marks a significant moment for both artists, who have each built successful solo careers. ‘See What We’ve Done’ stands as a joint statement of their shared journey, offering a cohesive yet relaxed project that reflects both their history and their evolving creative direction.
