MTN Reaffirms Commitment To Safer Internet

Telecommunication giant, MTN Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe internet connections to customers.

CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh said, “We are on course to invest over one-billion-dollars in network expansion by 2025.”

Selorm Adadevoh reiterated MTN’s belief that everyone deserves a modern internet-connected life.

He said, “It is imperative to get everyone connected and as we think about what this means for economic growth, we at MTN see ourselves as enablers, providing solutions for Africa’s progress”.

This statement was made known at the 2023 Media and Stakeholders Forum in Accra, organized to share insights on the business performance and focus for the year which is in line with MTN’s purpose to keep customers at the core of its business.

The annual forum was held under the theme “Leveraging Technology to Serve Customers with Excellence”.

He provided updates on MTN’s overall strategy, indicating that the company has formulated network improvement initiatives, and plans to give customers more control providing them the best of services.

The CEO also addressed several key questions confronting the business including the fight against MoMo fraud, SIM registration, and smartphone penetration in the country.

The event was attended by stakeholders from both the private and public sectors. These stakeholders included the Chairperson and Speaker of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Communication. They also included the President of the Ghana Journalists Association and other media personnel and some civil society organizations. Others were suppliers, trade partners, and MTN Technology partners from Huawei, Ericsson, and ATC.
