MUSIGA Unveils SheRhythms Ghana Festival

Bessa Simons, MUSIGA President

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is striking a powerful new chord in celebration of its golden jubilee with the launch of SheRhythms Ghana — the first-ever all-female music festival in the country.

Set to light up the Alliance Française in Accra from December 4 to 6, 2025, the groundbreaking festival promises not just a weekend of unforgettable performances but also a movement dedicated to empowering women in music.

With the theme “Empowering Her Voice, Amplifying Her Art, Reshaping Her Industry,” SheRhythms Ghana will celebrate women’s artistry in all its forms. Audiences can expect thrilling live performances across genres, inspiring collaborations, and a star-studded line-up of female musicians from Ghana and beyond. Beyond the music, the festival will feature workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship sessions designed to equip women with practical skills in music business, production, and performance.

Speaking about the initiative, MUSIGA President Bessa Simons expressed his excitement: “This is more than a festival. It’s about giving our women the stage, the recognition, and the opportunities they deserve to shine — just like their male counterparts.”

To ensure the festival makes a lasting impact, MUSIGA has teamed up with RAM Media Concepts, a leading events, marketing, and branding agency. RAM’s CEO, Augustine Mark, assured fans and industry players alike that SheRhythms Ghana will be “a platinum platform for women to showcase their talent, build networks, and connect with the global stage.”

The celebration begins with the official launch today, Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Alliance Française in Accra, where a preview of the festival’s vision and vibe will be unveiled.

As anticipation builds, organisers say they are confident the festival will become a signature event on Ghana’s cultural calendar, drawing in female performers from across Africa and the world.
