Nadia Buari
Celebrated actress, Nadia Buari, says she is heartbroken by the sad death of her step-mother, Madam Betty Mirabelle Odonkor.
Auntie Betty, as she was affectionately called, reportedly died on Friday, February 5 due to an unknown ailment. She was 61 years old.
Her daughter, Shaida Buari, who was Miss Ghana 2002, confirmed her mother’s sad demise in a Facebook post last Friday and asked for privacy for the family in these trying times.
Betty was previously married to former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Alhaji Sidiku Buari and is the step-mother of Nadia Buari.
Nadia took to social media over the weekend to express her shock over Betty’s death by sharing her photo on Instagram.
She wrote under her post, “My heart is in shreds…All I want to do is cry and scream and just let it all out because it’s killing me inside. I don’t even want to RIP because I can’t believe you’re gone. No…(crying emoji).”
