THE National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B, has said the initiative to ensure that the ruling party makes inroads in constituencies controlled by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken off.

As part of the initiative, the young lawyer, on behalf of the party’s youth wing, has donated 30 motorcycles, laptops and other logistics to constituencies where the NPP does not have seats in Parliament (orphan constituencies) in the Upper West, Savannah and Northern regions.

The project, which was launched at Ayinofi in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency, is geared towards helping the party to annex more parliamentary seats.

Speaking at the presentation, Nana B urged the leadership of the constituencies, particularly the youth wings, to work harder and be committed to the project of winning the various seats for the NPP come 2020.

He said the NPP was not going to be complacent in the 2020 general election, knowing the kind of propaganda being unleashed on Ghanaians by the NDC.

He said the party was very much aware that without commitment and hard work, the campaign for 2020 would be difficult. The good works of the government would make Ghanaians retain the NPP in office, he added.

Besides, he stated that the NPP would not engage in mudslinging and dirty campaign with the opposition NDC and would be focused to ensure Ghanaians appreciate the kind of work the Akufo-Addo administration has done so far.

The orphan constituencies project, according to the NPP Youth leader, is being replicated nationwide.
