Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah in a chat with a journalist after the press conference
INFORMATION MINISTER, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, has said President Akufo-Addo’s administration has been highly successful because his appointees are very competent.
“President Akufo-Addo has put in place a competent team and that explains why this New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has chalked immense successes for the country in a short time,” he remarked.
Mr. Oppong-Nkrumah, who was addressing journalists in Kumasi, noted that the President was an experienced politician, and therefore appointed competent people to form his government.
According to him, all appointees of the President have also lived up to expectation to support the President in carrying out his great ambition for the country.
“President Akufo-Addo’s appointees are aware that the President is in a hurry to fulfil his campaign promises and even introduce more pragmatic policies to help improve the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian.
“Nana Akufo-Addo is determined and highly motivated to take the country to the promised land and has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that he is the right person to lead the country now,” he said.
Mr. Oppong-Nkrumah said President Akufo-Addo’s advanced age was not holding him back from carrying out his vision of transforming the country. “He is very strong and determined to do more for Ghana,” he said.
He recounted that during the 2016 elections ex-President Mahama resorted to a helicopter to travel around “but Akufo-Addo toured Ghana in a car. This is ample proof that indeed Nana Addo is very strong.”
