Nana Names Envoys – Former CDS, Alima

President Akufo-Addo has released the list of his first batch of foreign envoys.

Among them are the immediate past Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Boamah Akwa (rtd) and former Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Hajia Alima Mahama.
The former CDS is being sent to Egypt to represent Ghana’s interest; while Hajia Mahama would be heading to the United States of America as the ambassador.

Mr. Akwa will be going to replace Dr. Winfred Nii Okai Hammond, who is now being sent to replace Mike Oquaye Jnr. in India; while Hajia Mahama goes to replace Prof. Agyei Barwuah in the USA.
Also on the cards are former Minister of Land, Minerals and Natural Resources, Kwaku Asomah – Cheremeh, who has been appointed as the Head of Mission for the China, to go and replace Edward Boateng; while the Head of Public Affairs at the Electoral Commission, Sylvia Annoh, is being sent to Denmark.

Others include Frederick Daniel Laryea –Abidjan/Cote d’lvoire, Alhaji Rashid Bawa – Nigeria, Papa Owusu-Ankomah is staying in the United Kingdom, Mr. Napoleon Abdulai is moving from Cuba to Mali, Alhaji Mohammad Habibu Tijani – Saudi Arabia, Mr. Anselm Ransford Sowah – Canada, Mr. Adagbila Boniface Gambila – Burkina Faso, Mrs. Francisca Ashiety-Odunton is moving from Kenya to Turkey and Mr. Charles Asuako Owiredu is going to South Africa to replace George Ayisi Boateng.

The rest are Oheneba Dr. Lesley Akyaa Opoku-Ware – Russia, Perpetua Joyce Naana Dontoh – Equatorial Guinea, Charis Obetsebi-Lamptey Zwennes – South Korea, Christine Churcher – Benin, Barbara Akuorkor Benisa – Malta, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan – United Arab Emirates, Harold Adlai Agyeman – New York City, Kwabena Okubi-Appiah – Liberia, Genevieve Apaloo – Japan, James Komla Nyasembi – Czech Republic, Yakubu Alhassan – Namibia, Damptey Bediako Asare – Kenya, Francis Danti Kotia – Netherlands, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Abdulai – Kuwait, Khadija Iddrisu – Zambia,  Mr. Samuel Yaw Nsiah – Cuba, Samuel Jojo Effah-Broni – Morocco and Emmanuel Kwame Asiedu Antwi, who has been appointed Ambassador in Situ (Chief of Protocol).
