President Akufo-Addo has since charged them to ensure that they maintain highest standards of integrity as they execute their duties in the portfolios they have been assigned.

This was after administering the oaths of allegiance, secrecy, and of office to them at the Jubilee House Tuesday evening.

President Akufo-Addo said their appointments is to offer them an opportunity to serve the Ghanaian people and not for their personal gain.

“Your appointments has come at a critical moment in the history of our country and your success in this endeavour would be a consequence of the oaths you have solemnly sworn to uphold the interest of the Republic, its constitution and its citizenry and dedicate yourselves to the promotion of their general well-being.

“You have joined the government and virtually the last lap of its mandate with 19 months to go. But I am confident that there is enough time for you to make a difference and significant contribution, ” President Akufo-Addo said.

He, however, had cause to remind them that “the quality of integrity which will permeate your work is extremely important. You have to remember at all times, the solemn commitment that we in the New Patriotic Party have made collectively and individually, jointly and severally in the language of the lawyers, to serve the Ghanaian people honestly and competently.

We are called to these public appointments to provide public service not to promote our personal gain, ” the President added.
