Napo Ladies Start Street Campaign

A GROUP of young ladies in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, have started a street campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December 7 polls.

The gorgeous-looking ladies are staunch supporters of the NPP running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is affectionately called ‘Napo’ in political circles.

Their motive of starting the street campaign is to make the NPP visible in order to increase their votes in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the region.

Dressed in the red, white and blue colours of the NPP, the ladies, numbering over one hundred, were seen campaigning in the streets of Kumasi last Friday.

Aside displaying the beautiful NPP colours in the full glare of the public, the ladies were also seen preaching about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, to drivers and passengers.

Most of the drivers who were happy to see the ladies campaigning for the NPP in the streets, blew their horns to make the ladies aware that they approved of their work.

Nana Ama Tima Boakye, leader of the Napo group, said the NPP should be visible in the Ashanti Region, which is the party’s stronghold, to help maximise the party’s votes.

According to her, the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has done an amazing work to transform the country in the last eight years and the public needs to know.

“We are in the streets preaching about the NPPs positive records and also highlighting what Dr. Bawumia-Napo government will also do to expedite national growth,” she said.
