NAS Pays Homage To New Offinsohene

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) leadership has paid a courtesy visit to the new Offinsohene, Nana Dwamena Akenten II, on February 4, 2024.

The purpose of NAS’s visit was to show respect to the new Offinsohene, who serves as the custodian of the land where the Paramedic and Emergency Care Training School (PECTS) is located.

Leading the delegation were NAS Board Chairman, Nana Wiafe Ababio, and CEO, Prof. Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah, along with other officials from the Service.

During the visit, NAS Board Chairman, Nana Wiafe Ababio commended Prof. Ahmed Zakariah for his dedication and commitment to the development of PECTS.

Prof. Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah highlighted the significant role the late Offinsohene played in establishing PECTS, noting that it is currently the sole paramedic school in West Africa with plans for future expansion into a university.

In response, Nana Dwamena Akenten II expressed admiration for the CEO’s hard work, commitment, selflessness, and innovative skills.

He assured the Service of his unwavering support and emphasized that his doors were always open for collaboration.

The National Ambulance Service maintains a strong partnership with the Offinso North Traditional Council, evident through their collaborative efforts and consistent presence at NAS passing-out ceremonies.
