NDC Executive Killed In Accident

Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicates that the Central Regional Election Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)   Kwesi Asiedu  and the Regional Treasurer, Eric Essuah,  were involved in a fatal accident  at 10:40am on Tuesday at Gomoa Mankwadzi, resulting in the death of the election officer.

The accident, according to information, occurred on the Cape Coast–Accra Road when the two were on their way to submit election result declaration forms, popularly known as ‘pink sheets’ of their agents to the party’s headquarters.

According to information, they were rushed to the Winneba Specialist and Trauma Hospital and later transferred to 37 Military Hospital but unfortunately Asiedu passed on.

The Central Regional Chairman of the party, Ben Allotey Jacobs, therefore urged the party members to pray for Essuah during these trying times.

Mr. Allotey Jacobs described Asiedu’s death as a big blow to the party.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that Asiedu was respected by members of all the political parties and loved by many journalists in the region.

Mr. Asiedu, a law student, served as a special aide to the former regional minister, K.T. Addo before his appointment as the party’s elections officer.

As at the time of filing the story, most of radio station presenters were mourning the death of Kwesi Asiedu.
