New CEO For Zongo Fund

Arafat Sulemana Abdulai

Following the recent death of the CEO of the Zongo Development Fund, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Alhassan aka Teacher, the president has appointed a replacement. Arafat Sulemana Abdulai who has taken the mantle of leadership of the fund, was until the appointment, the Technical Advisor to the late CEO.

Fifty-two-year-old Arafat is a specialist in social work and conflict management. A former headmaster of the Presbyterian Junior High School in Tamale, from 1994-1996 before joining the ZODF, he worked in London for a decade in social work.

He is a member of the British Association of Social Workers and the Health and Care Professions Council of the United Kingdom.
He holds a First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with Sociology from the University of Ghana and a Master of Arts in Conflict Management and Intercultural Work, from the Alice Salomon University of Applied Science, Berlin, Germany. He was also the Nasara coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), UK Branch and speaks Hausa, Dagbani, Bisa, Twi and English fluently. He also has a basic grasp of Deutsch and French. He is married with five children.
