Francis Asenso-Boakye
Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has stated that New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration will construct of a number of new teaching hospitals in the country this year in order to help boost healthcare.
He disclosed this to journalists after he had presented hospital beds to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi (KATH).
Mr. Asenso-Boakye, however, did not state the exact number of teaching hospitals that would be constructed and where they would be located.
“The New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has decided to build a number of teaching hospitals this year. This is a positive move for the healthcare delivery system of our country,” Mr. Asenso-Boakye stated.
According to him, it is also the wish of government to build regional hospitals in the newly created regions.
He added that the new regions need regional hospitals to boost healthcare.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye said the NPP administration has the vision of improving the general healthcare system in the country to benefit the masses.
