Newborn Buried Alive in Cocoa Farm; Grandmother Arrested at Akoroso Koforidua

A 47-year-old woman, Akua Abrokwaa, has been arrested for allegedly burying her newborn grandchild alive in a cocoa farm at Akoroso Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday after her daughter gave birth.
According to the Assemblyman for the area, Hon. Kofi Quainoo Stephenas, the matter was reported to the chief of the community, but the woman allegedly refused to honour his summons.
The case has since been reported to the police. Both Akua Abrokwaa and her daughter are currently in custody at Oda, assisting with investigations.
