Dr. John Eleeza
The Northern Region has confirmed 15 new covid-19 cases, bringing its total cases to 52.
The Northern Regional Health Director, Dr. John B. Eleeza, who confirmed this to DGN Online, said 20 are males and 32 are females.
According to him, 23% of the cases are imported whiles 77% are community transmission.
He noted that between 25-35 age group are the most affected in the region.
Dr. Eleeza indicates that 30 of the cases came from Tamale Metro, one from Tolon District, 19 from Sagnarigu Municipality and 2 from Nanumba South District.
The Regional Health Director disclosed that the region has 32 recoveries and 17 active cases being managed at home.
He urged residents to ensure that they adhere to the health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
