As part of efforts to ‘energize’ constituencies in Bono Region after the election of regional executives, the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has presented 24 motorbikes to 12 constituencies to help them carry out the party’s activities ahead of the 2020 elections.

Deputy General Secretary of the party, Nana Obiri Boahen, who was assisted by the Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye DC, handed over the motorbikes to constituency chairmen of the party at Berekum yesterday.

Nana Obiri Boahen advised the constituency executives to use the motorbikes for their intended purpose.

“You should always license motorbikes before you use them and not say because the party is in power you can use them with impunity.”

He lauded the efforts of the regional chairman, Kwame Baffoe, who helped to acquire the motorbikes.

“With the election of the rest of the regional executives we are set for 2020 so we asking all of you to go and work hard for victory in 2020.

“With what Abronye has done now, it shows that he is poised for hard work and so we must all support him to win all the 12 seats in the region as promised,” he said.

The Dormaa East Constituency Chairman of the party, Solomon Oppong Twumasi, who received the motorbikes on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the national executives for thinking ahead and promised not to let the party down in 2020.

Earlier, an electoral college of the party consisting of elected regional executives, constituency chairmen, DCEs, members of parliament in the region, met in-camera and elected the rest of the regional executives comprising the 2nd Vice Chairperson, Doris Asomah, Youth Organizer, Razack Oppong and Nasara Coordinator Bashiru Wahab.
