NPP Hails Akufo-Addo For Being Adjudged 2021 African Leader Of The Year

The ruling New Patriotic Party has congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for being adjudged as the 2021 African of the Year by the reputable Forbes African Magazine.

In a statement issued and signed by the General Secretary, John Boadu, he stated that “In conferring this great honour on the Ghanaian Leader, on December 3, 2021, Africa’s leading magazine, Forbes, observed among other things that: “Ghana’s President has repositioned the country in the global marketplace as one reliant on its resources…“

The party noted that “This recognition, without doubt, is a further vindication of President Akufo-Addo’s sterling leadership in steering the affairs of this country and delivering prosperity to its people. More instructively, this honour confirms the President’s unrivaled commitment to leading the chart towards realizing the African dream and more”.

It added that “the NPP also observes with delight that this recognition comes at the back of similar honour conferred on the President in less than 24 hours when he was named as the recipient of the first-ever International Nation Builders Award from Black US Legislators at the 45th Annual National Black Caucus of State Legislators in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 2”.

“Ghana, and for that matter Africa, certainly, cannot be blessed with a better transformational leader, particularly at these crucial times where the Continent is on a course for a rebound and growth of its economy after the ravages of Covid-19. In President Akufo-Addo, indeed, we find that Leader to take us to the promised land, to the glory of God and country” the statement indicated.
