Iddrisu Muktar Dems
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kumbungu Constituency parliamentary candidate in the 2016 general election, Iddrisu Muktar Dems, has died.
He was involved in a gory motor accident on the Kumbungu-Tamale road on his way to Tamale.
The deceased has been buried in accordance to the Islamic faith.
An eye-witness, Dallah Prince, told DAILY GUIDE that Muktar Dems who was riding a motorbike crashed into a parked tipper-truck on the Kumbungu-Tamale road.
According to him, the tipper-truck developed a fault and was parked on the shoulder of the road. Dems, unfortunately, crashed into the stationary truck as the place was dark due to the absence of street lights on the highway.
He disclosed that the deceased died on the spot and his body was sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital and later released to the family for burial.
The late Iddrisu Muktar Dems left behind a wife and eight (8)children.
