THE Loyal Ladies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the weekend went to the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region to canvass for votes.
The team, lead by their captains, mobilized campaigners from towns within the constituency to support operations of the Parliamentary Candidate, Ernest Yaw Kumi, and also push the ‘4More4Nana’ agenda.
Leaders of the group officially inaugurated the Akwatia chapter of NPP Loyal Ladies and tasked members of the group to work harder to retain the seat for the party in December.
The team embarked on a door-to-door campaign, did market and group engagements, as well as hospital visitations at Wenchi, Akwatia Zongo, Bamenase, Suabe, Boadua, and other key communities within the constituency.
They climaxed the activities with a health screening by the health team which was very successful as constituents benefited from free check-ups, drug prescriptions and medical advice.
The NPP parliamentary candidate later said the agenda to retain President Akufo-Addo in the December general election and also vote for Ernest Kumi as the next Member of Parliament for the area was on course.
