The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the opening of nominations for parliamentary primaries in two key constituencies, Akan and La Dadekotopon.
The decision was made by the NPP’s National Executive Committee during their meeting held on April 9, 2024.
These nominations come as a result of recent developments in the constituencies.
Dr. Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio has tendered his resignation in the La Dadekotopon constituency, while the constituency of Akan mourns the loss of Ambassador Rashid Bawa, who sadly passed away.
Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the NPP, expressed the party’s intention to publish the guidelines for the upcoming parliamentary primaries in both Akan and La Dadekotopon.
These guidelines will provide aspiring candidates with the necessary information and instructions to participate in the primaries.
The NPP’s decision to open nominations demonstrates their commitment to ensuring a fair and democratic selection process for their parliamentary candidates.
As the December 7 elections approach, the party aims to fill the vacant positions with qualified individuals who will diligently represent the interests and aspirations of their respective constituencies.
The NPP’s parliamentary primaries in Akan and La Dadekotopon are anticipated to attract a significant number of party members eager to compete for the opportunity to serve their constituents.
Aspiring candidates are encouraged to stay tuned for the official guidelines, which will provide further details on the nomination and selection process.
