As part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth’s campaign, the national youth wing of the ruling party is embarking on a nationwide massive programme dubbed ‘Boots on Grounds’, a retail campaign to highlight the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration.

They will use the opportunity to also campaign with all the 275 parliamentary candidates of the party simultaneously across the country from Thursday and sustain the activities until December 7 when there will be the general election.

A statement signed by the NPP National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, said “activities shall include street campaign, market campaign, church campaign, mosque campaign, door to door, lorry and taxi terminals campaign, ghetto to ghetto campaign, shop to shop and malls campaign, toll booths campaign among other public engagements and all will be done following strict Covid-19 protocols particularly the wearing of face masks.”

According to Nana B, the Boots on Grounds retail campaign has reached its second phase and the constituency youth wings have been provided with the logistics like motorcycles, T-shirts, face shields and masks, NPP-branded wrist band, placards and other paraphernalia to support the activities.

“The national youth wing therefore calls on the leadership of the regional campaign teams, constituency campaign teams, all Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates, MMDCEs etc to support the regional youth wings as well as the constituency youth wings to make this program/campaign a success.

“The national youth wing respectfully entreats that this program though schedule to take place on Thursday, November 12, 2020, should not be a one off activity, but should continue until victory 2020 is declared for the NPP led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all the 275 parliamentary candidates.”

Nana B said the Boots on Grounds was a well thought through campaign strategy coordinated by the national youth wing to get the public to appreciate the good works of President Akufo-Addo and the NPP candidates and to solicit their support for a second term.

According to Nana B, the Boots on Grounds agenda involves all16 regional youth wings, 275 constituency youth wings, TESCON branches and youth volunteer groups; and their task is to embark upon massive campaigns.
