Mr. Mahamudu Mohammed Awal presenting the items to the Tamale Central Prisons
The Northern Regional Best Farmer for 2019 , who doubles as the President of the Union of African Agricultural Producers Organization, Mahamudu Mohammed Awal, has celebrated Eid Mubarak with the inmates of the Tamale Central Prisons.
The inmates were served with home made food with drinks at the prisons ward in Tamale.
The Northern Regional Best Farmer also donated assorted drinks , toiletries, bottled water and other food items to the Tamale Central Prisons.
According to him, inmates normally feel neglected by society reason why he decided to visit and celebrate with them.
He encouraged the inmates to be of good behavior and ensure thattgey take any training at the prison seriously in order to impact society when they are finally released.
Mr. Awal appealed to government to come to the aid of farmers adding the rain pattern and Covid-19 has greatly affected the farming season.
DSP Martin Muonah, who received the items on behalf of the Tamale Central Prisons thanked the Northern Regional Best Farmer for the kinda gesture.
