Nsawam NPP Roots For Majority Chief Whip As Unopposed

 

The 29 Electoral Area Coordinators with over One Thousand plus delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Nsawam/Adoagyiri Constituency of the Eastern Region have fully endorsed the Majority Chief Whip who is the Member of Parliament for the area, Frank Annoh-Dompreh to go unopposed.

The endorsement was led by the Constituency Chairman, Frances Akwa Rockson, Alias Stone ahead of the party’s official announcement of the opening of the nomination of the Parliamentary primary which is expected to take place by next year June.

Even though the party hasn’t paved way for the parliamentary contest, but the NPP members in the area have taken the lead to choose their candidate ahead of the 2024 elections.

The Constituency Chairman, Frances Akwa Rockson announced this over the weekend, during a football league tournament organized by the Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh for the electoral area coordinators and polling station executives at Nsawam.

The Chairman stated that their MP has done a marvelous job in terms of roads, educational infrastructure, and health projects and has the lobbying skills which he is using to attract more projects into the constituency, hence, there is no need to change him for the next elections since 2024 election is going to be crucial.

He explained further that, Frank Annoh-Dompreh’s outfit has undertaken projects in all the electoral areas, which the members there have witnessed, and that’s why they’ve decided to endorse him to go unopposed.

The Third Term Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh over the weekend kicked off the football league slated for February 2023 in his area.

The league is set to pitch all 29 electoral areas within the constituency against each other.

The Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency has benefited from the commissioning of four Astros turfs under the auspices of Frank Annor-Dompreh.

The league is to help unearth youth’s talent through job creation as well as harnessing economic activities in the area.

During the kick-off ceremony, Frank Annoh-Dompreh said: “we have four Astro turfs and this is historic, we are to have fun and entertain ourselves and at the end, we want to unite ourselves as one people, I thank the organizers for the great work done we have given every team little contributions but I am also giving extra contribution as I will give every team appearance fee of GHC1,000 on Monday”.

According to him, ‘we are trying to unearth talents and coincidentally is coinciding with the time we going to the World Cup and looking at the most of the players in Ghanaian team are from Nsawam, so we hope that with time we will be able to unearth a lot of talents”.

The Majority Chief Whip further expressed optimism about the NPP winning the 2024 general elections despite the current economic woes the country is going through.

He explained that “We want to energize our party base, 2024 is a physical election and is a win or win for us and I believe that regardless of the challenges we are facing in this country, I believe the best party which can transform this country from the middle income statutory what we are seeking to do is the New Patriotic Party”.

“We must all be patient and unite ourselves, I hear people saying unopposed and I am not surprised because I am the chief lobbyist, I am even going for the more projects, I will build more roads and do more projects, already I have achieved my twenty kilometers asphalt, next year January God willing we will begin asphalting all the major town roads and this should tell you that Chief Whip never disappoints,” Annoh-Dompreh added.
